I was lucky enough to receive a wonderful gift basket from Gourmet Gift Baskets to review and one to giveaway to one of my awesome readers!
With Mother's Day just around the corner I was sent the Mother's Day Sweets & Treats basket, and let me say...it was pretty tasty! I considered keeping it all for myself, after all I am the mother in this household right? (Though there are days I wonder if these children magically appeared from some random source) But in the end I couldn't resist the pleading eyes and "please Mommy"s both in spoken word and ASL so I caved and shared. The boys both LOVED the granola and the cookies, and they devoured the cheese biscuits.
The box arrived while I was still sleeping, and as soon as I emerged from the bedroom I was greeted with "Mommy a package came open it!!" And so I did, and we shared granola for breakfast. The packaging was excellent, not too much, but enough to keep the goods safe. The basket it'self was beautiful! It was something I'd gladly give my mom, grandma, or a friend for a special occasion!
My favorite part though...was the chocolate covered nut mix and the Milk Chocolate Peanut Butter Melt-a-ways. Oh my goodness!! They were delicious! I've been hoarding the cookies as well, the kids each had one and now believe they need to eat them all. Overall I have to say the basket is well worth the retail price of $49.99, and would make an excellent gift for someone special to you!
